Heat reuse
Heat reuse is only real if it is engineered into the project with a credible off-take partner and measurable outcomes. We treat it as an engineering and partnerships problem, not a marketing slogan.
Where heat reuse can work
Section titled “Where heat reuse can work”Heat reuse becomes feasible when at least one of these is true:
- District heating or municipal partners exist (or can be developed with aligned incentives).
- Industrial off-take exists nearby (process heat demand with steady utilization).
- Controlled-environment agriculture can benefit (greenhouses, drying, etc.), with year-round demand.
Design considerations (designed-for)
Section titled “Design considerations (designed-for)”- Thermal plant choices that allow heat capture without compromising uptime targets.
- Clear separation between customer workload variability and heat delivery commitments.
- Instrumentation so “reuse” can be measured, audited, and improved.
How we talk about it (so it stays honest)
Section titled “How we talk about it (so it stays honest)”- We describe criteria and approach before claiming outcomes.
- We align heat reuse opportunities to site selection and permitting realities.
- We publish what we will measure once a specific project is underway (partner + design locked).
